And So it Begins... Step 1 of Working With Us

As a writer, I know that one of the most difficult parts of creating anything is simply just beginning. Maybe it's the pressure of needing to hook the audience right away, or maybe it's the body's way of using procrastination in response to overwhelm, but either way, having someone to help get that momentum going has always proved to be oh-so-helpful for me. 

This is what I love to do with our clients– make the process of marketing strategy feel less like a burden and more like a free-flowing joy ride, which I find to be where the real magic of co-creation happens. 

I'm an observer by nature. After taking a first step into a room full of people, I'm subconsciously reading where everyone is energetically and if I can't figure it out right away, I listen and observe intently before I can settle in.  While this can be annoying to the extroverted side of me at times, I've learned over the years that it also can be a superpower of sorts. I mention this now because I like to use my observant nature to my advantage when clients first come on board. 

To do so, I like to first schedule an intro call where I can get to know a person's – and company's – core beliefs and values. I've found this to be one of the most rewarding steps in the process. I like my clients to leave these initial calls feeling truly understood, listened to, and seen. Handing a set of keys to someone can be a bit scary, but once you know that the other person values and resonates with your way of driving, it becomes a much more comfortable road trip. 

Next is the strategy build. Turning these worldviews into tangible roadmaps can be empowering and motivating. I have an amazing team and at this stage, I like to tap into our combined expertise to map out a plan of action. No matter what the project, our strategies will always include: 

  • Defining the "who"
    Messaging can fall flat if we aren't speaking to the right people. Understanding the audience couldn't be a more crucial step. My team and I help with dialing in on exactly who we want to be speaking to and connecting with as we move forward in the process. 
  • Incorporating worldview, values, and mission
    I've found that companies and brands are a reflection of their founders and the way they seek to add value to their communities. If our messaging and approach are tapped into that, the right people are organically drawn in. 
  • Turning curiosity into cashflow:
    We always seek to make the transition from audience member to active, paying client as smooth as possible, which is why having clear strategies for developing a funneling system is essential for real company growth. This seems to be the step my clients care about most–I wonder why! 😉 

At this point, we’re all set to hit the ground running! With a solid strategy in place, the pressure is off, and we can dive into the fun part—bringing those ideas to life.
